1, THINGS CHANGE
Well I'm cruising down to 41 High,
it's been a party on this street for three years and I don't know why,
well it's changed, but things are still the same,
And when I'm back to the Grove for more,
I've always had a key but tonight it won't unlock the door,
well it's changed, but things are still the same,
Things are still the same, things are still the same,
oohh, maybe I've just changed, maybe i've just changed,
ohh, things are still the same,
And the house made of gingerbread,
I gave it all to you the day I cut the hair off my head,
well I've changed, but things are still the same,
And if you had a change of plan,
I'll just fly off alone to the stars in my AstroVan,
well you've changed, but things are still the same.

2, WEIGHS ME DOWN
If I got a nickel for every time I died,
I would make a gravedigger five cents on the side,
and I got a dime for all those times I lied,
I would give it all to you just to make you smile,
just so you'll feel fine, there's another dime,
It's nice to have some money just to get up off the ground but....
All this goddamn change just weighs me down,
If I got a quarter for all those times I tried,
to give you what you want but you still weren't satisfied,
and I got a quarter for all those lonely nights,
I would give it all to you just to sit beside,
I would buy a little bit of your time, if your rates were right,
It's nice to have some money just to get up off the ground but....
all this goddamn change just weighs me down,
If I got a dollar just for being alive,
I would go find a poor man and tell him it wasn't mine,
because if I were alive just to make a dollar,
I'd rather be in the grave and make mr.digger twenty times richer,
It's nice to have some money just to get up off the ground but...
All this goddamn change just weighs me down...

3. SKUNK FUNK
I'm going where the sun keeps shining, through the pouring rain,
one day I woke up in the morning, and realized that it's all the same.
I've got to fly away, go up and down the coast,
freedom of living man, is what I need the most.
Hey! and now we're on our way,
well I got so tired of all of your foolish games,
Hey! and we're on our way,
found a new groovy place, where we can stay,
Dictators of priorities, you can't make me care,
trying to make me live your life, only on my own I'll fare,
I've got to fly away, go up and down the coast,
freedom of living man, is what i need the most.
Hey! and now we're on our way,
well I got so tired of all of your foolish games,
Hey! and now we're on our way,
got some groovy things to do,
Must have forgot the reasons, why I signed up my name,
for a life where everyday, goes down exactly the same,
I've got to fly away, go up and down the coast,
freedom of living man, is what I need the most.

4. Wake Up from the Real World
Eyes fall down, mind is a risin'
I see you standing by the bright red horizon,
well subconsious thoughts tease me,
Up in the mornin, mind falls asleep,
you wake up anymore, the thought has deseased,
but you will always be with me,
It's just a dream you make it seem like it's nothing at all,
just because i dont know what you look like, or who you are,
it doesn't mean i don't care,
Make up, your whole damn life till you,
Wake up, and lose it all again like,
Make up, you take it off to just to put on again,
Break up, from reality and,
Rake Up, what thoughts you can and,
Wake up from the Real World, or are you just a asleep?
Deja Vu i've already seen, back in my dreams when i was asleep,
before I've seen you now,
before I know before I see, I'm engaged to thoughts and my dreams and,
words don't know how,

5. Martyr
He is a martyr for he endured death because he stood,
for demolishing the wall of illusion and falsehood,
he is a seeker of love that place his head in his palm,
stepped onto a street of thorns and gave his crown to be torn,
Guru Nanu Japuji, speak to me of being of being free,
Guru Nanu Japuji, speak to me,
He is a voice who spoke of righteousness of truth and love,
on his path he made a vow that his life he would lay down,
he is a believer who live the ocean of virtue,
through the truth of waters will embody love, he was filled.

6. Just A Word
Well it's not pulling weeds so the pretty flowers grow,
pulling out your roots so you know you own the flow,
urban life-styles but you're too high to feel sympathy,
for foot-printed deer carcuses.
it's not a twist of tounge at the top of the cliff or,
a good friends girlfriends erotic lips,
it's not a quick handy in a cheap old theater,
or 3 a.m. nameless sex brewed with native beer,
Love's not natural, it's not sexual,
it's not a fucking feeling, it's just a word....
It's not a bloody mess but the flies ate you stomach,
or writing a song that makes you want to vomit,
it's not chunking ten years of perfectly good time,
into a garbage compressor, turn it into mine.
Love's not natural, it's not sexual,
it's not a fucking feeling, it's just a word...

7. Just Listen
Well it's funny how the connotation of a verbal expression,
can give the impression of a good or bad emotion,
let me demonstrate with a single phrase like "how was your day?",
can interpretate as a sarcastic way meant to irritate,
if they're asking you about your previous unfortunate fate,
but it's easy to blame the wrong gentleman or dame,
if they take what you say, the incorrect way, but hey,
there's people around here with two separate sets of lips,
spew a lot of shit untill they get shot down a little bit,
on their buddy's request, but they may not adhere,
because they only got one ear to hear what you say,
and that's the main mistake that people make,
when they goes to inflate their brain, not just engrave,
everything that they think and make it shrink,
to the point where they can't relate to anything,
because you know what you know, you dont know what I know,
you dont know what he knows, you don't know what she knows,
so just blow it out your nose and throw it in a bin,
give your bros a break and just listen,
I'm wishing for the silent treatment from you,
I'm wishing for your parted lips to be glued,
together even bound in leather,
so that I do not have to hear you ramble about the weather.
Because I'm not one to usually ramble, on and on just looking to scramble,
for something to say untill you yawn from the noise expelling from my face infact,
it's pretty funny how I preach to each and everybody, to keep your mouth shut,
just relax sit back, and stop yapping at a speed so fast that we can't bother lasting,
through the talking and it's starting to get me thinkin real heavy about everybody's yearning,
better yet the journey, when they dig deep in their dirty personality to bury all the worry,
and still searching in a hurry for a quicky hit of happy,
which unfortunately is only a temporary trophy.
now i think i got my point across, did you catch it, yeah,
don't laugh till all your friends are lost, now im just a hypocrite,
now could somebody please come and take this mic outta my hand cause,
Goddamn, I wanna jam.
Goddamn, I wanna jam.
Goddamn, I wanna jam.

8. LEAVING THIS TOWN
I'm leavin', leavin' this town, I'm leavin' this town,
it's morning tip tiptoeing on the ground,
happy faces up and down the street, they align my heartbeat to my feet,
I'm leavin' leavin' this town, i'm leavin this town,
water coated me of rain and waves,
a man swam to me walls washed away,
I dug a closet and lay in the grave i made among my clay,
danced a jig with the skeleton that hid under wool sweaters on my skin,
in between and underneath scattered in the corners and all over
the youth that once was me,
i'm leavin' leavin' this town, i'm leavin this town,
arm raising sip sip sipping, the vastness around,
for i'm found, I'm found
Still silence of slow pace, sank soothingly each day of grace.

9. WALLS AND SKY
I'm sleeping on a walkway covered in walls and sky,
the sun's eating all the greeen bushes and leaving the shadows behind,
she's walking around the corner to open up my eyes,
she's walking to wake my body, but my body has already died,
Wait for the sunshine to rise,
don't let the sun burn your eyes, or your mind
or your own peace of kind tonight,
let your mind not have to hide,
I vanish and appear behind her as she searches for where i might hide,
she standing infront of a blue box with three keys inside,
well theres one hole left without a key, without a way to release,
my body died but my mind is free, so i melted into a key,
Wait for the sunshine to rise,
don't let the sun burn your eyes, or your mind
or your own peace of kind tonight,
let your mind not have to hide let it fly straight into the sun.
I tapped her shoulder and shot straight up,
and danced above her head,
i fell back down into the hole,
to look like all the rest,
i turn my body and open my eyes,
i was like i had not left,
the world was the same, the people too,
life was more real in my head, more real in my head.
Wait for the sunshine to rise,
don't let the sun burn your eyes, or your mind
or your own peace of kind tonight,
let your mind not have to hide let it fly straight into the sun.

10. DESERT DOGS
It cam with bubble wrapping, and rose pedals now scattering,
across the floor boards where crossed legged we sat naked,
Intention of depth perception, was clear between our gaze.
not a word to be spoken, for when was the last time we used them,
It was the night we painted dragons in the sky.
Looking through the canvas,
our fingertips tracing light,
we soared through particles,
of an endless you and I.

11. WORSE THINGS THAN THAT
When the pretty colors distract you,
from the black and white of life,
there are no lines to draw in,
no set pictures to abide by.
I think I see the world,
do you see it?
I think I can see the world
did you see it move?
I think I can see the world,
so how much did you do? (I don't know)
I think I can see the world,
I'm just trippin' that's just you.
May I ask how you found the door,
before your eyes were open,
you claim the filter is gone,
but the doors in your imagination.
I think I can see the world,
the one thats over there,
I think I can see the world
why is it not over here,
I think I can see the world,
and I feel all of it's fear
I think I can see the world,
is it an involuntary tear,
When you're too old to talk,
could you still laught at a joke,
when you're too old to walk,
would you still be where you hoped,
and when you're too tired to work,
could you still smile sitting back,
and when you're tired of being bored,
you know there's worse things than that,
yeah, worse things than that.
Logic's just a concept,
that I use to keep my head,
reality is what's real,
with an 'ity' on the end.
I think I can see the world,
the one which i was born
I think I can see the world
but there's no pretty unicorns,
I think I can see what's real,
and I'm happy all alone,
I think I can see what's real,
it's way too trippy on it's own.
I think I can see the world, it's somewhere over there!

12. TIME BOMB
I am ticking clock, can you hear me tick tock,
I am a time bomb, about to go off,
I am of gasoline, a hungry fire fiend,
I am a twitching road, about to explode,
Hey I've seen the crawling under skin,
and I've heard the silent screaming,
such a need to be free from the screaming,
such a need to be once awokened,
I am a ticking clock, can you hear me ticky tock tick tock,
I am a time bomb about to go off,
I am of gasoline, a hungry fire fiend,
I am twitching road about to expode,
Tick tocking away, the mundane marks each day,
just a player among this fallen stage,
found flat in my eyes, is written in disguise,
as i wait to detonate, for falling fate to rise,
I am ticking clock, can you hear me tick tock,
I am a time bomb, about to go off,

13. I AM THE SUN"S SON
As the sun hides behind a shade of land,
but reflects the light into the palm of my hand,
it shoots down my viens, and up through my arm,
and into my heart, it still keeps me warm.
Well it's getting darker, and i'm getting colder,
as the sun kindly suggests, that you're one day older,
and as the sun hides behind the other side of the sphere,
to regenerate the souls of the lives over there,
I am a child, of Mother Nature,
raised in the wild, by my solar father,
and I will travel the hills, to seek his advice,
but the moon's only there to give me vice,
there's things you can't do in the middle of the day,
for people can see you, so you're forced to behave,
there are things you can't do in the blackness of a cave,
for you can't see yourself, that's why the moon's there for aid,
His teachings of rebellion, teachings of misuse,
of sexual ambition and the overuse of booze,
you can try to run away but at night he will recover,
for vice is not a parent's job, but that of a brother.
And as the sun, shines throught the window pane,
igniting the few who made it to the new day,
look around the room at the lucky ones who will,
bask, in the sunshining rays...
I am a child, of Mother Nature,
raised in the wild, by my solar father,
and I will travel the hills, to seek his advice,
but the moon's only there to give me vice,
And now that your day is done, and you've had your fun,
what do you have to say, at the end of your day.
Though the nights are cold, and the days are long,
as you go down your road, singing this old song.
I am a child, of Mother Nature,
raised in the wild, by my solar father,
and I will travel the hills, to seek his advice,
but the moon's only there.....
